Babylights
Babylights are very delicate, white-blonde highlights created using a very fine colour technique to mimic that blonde hue achieved if your hair is naturally lightened in the sun.
One of the main attractions of the Babylights techniques is that it can be applied to any hair colour and any length (long/short). They are also a great way to introduce colour if you fancy a change of hair style but don't want anything too drastic. Babylights are very natural, subtle and most importantly low maintenance.
They offer you a different refreshed look while making hair appear luscious and healthy. Your hairdresser will be able to help you choose the appropriate shade to match your individual skin tone and achieve the best colour result.
Color Melting
Color Melting softens sharp edges and erases that dreaded line of demarcation that can happen when you dip-dye your hair and use . Melting is a technique that blends the highlights with the base color of the hair so you don't have any harsh lines The new technique also creates an optical illusion and tricks the eye, making you believe the flowing colors could have occurred naturally, whether they transition from brown to bleach blonde, or Dark shadow to silver.
Global Bleaching
Global Bleaching is unlike Highlights, Balayage and Ombre because in just one session you can go from dark brown hair to the lightest tone, like platinum blonde, pastel lavender lust and Rose Gold. Also, it's unlike whole-headed bleach because when the roots grow out, the harsh line will show. After you do the Global Bleaching, your hair will still look natural without the line.
Balayage and Ombre
Balayage is a French word meaning to sweep or to paint. It allows for a sun-kissed natural looking hair colour – similar to what nature gives us as children – with softer, less noticeable regrowth lines. The principal idea being less is more when creating soft, natural looks.Balayage is applied on the surface and not saturated through the section until the very tips, otherwise you would have a streak of colour that isn’t vey soft at all. It can also be called a freehand technique because no foil or meche are used to create the highlights.
The Ombre hair color effect is a gradiation of color from dark at the roots to light ends.
“Rooty” hilites have always been fashionable but this takes it to a whole new level.
Roots are dark-natural and fade into a lighter shade from mid-shaft to the ends. It’s a very beachy, natural look.
Look around and you’ll see it on many celebrities in different variations from the more subdued, subtle looks like Camila Alves to trendy extreme flashes of color like Drew Barrymore. How intense you take it is completely up to you, but the best part is it only looks better as it grows!
Japanese Hair Straightening
Curly hair is caused by genetics, of course, but it’s also caused by some basic chemistry. Ringlets, kinks, and waves arise when pairs of sulfur atoms in the amino acid cysteine link up together, forming, appropriately enough, disulfide bonds. (There’s a lot of cysteine in hair because it’s one of the major building blocks of keratin, the protein that makes up most of the hair shaft.) During this process, each of the sulfur atoms sheds an electron, and that’s what allows one of the most reliable techniques for straightening hair to work.
During Japanese hair straightening, a reducing agent—in this case a chemical known as thioglycolate—forces electrons back onto the sulfur atoms, reversing the process that created the bond. After the hair is nourished with shampoo and a protein-rich conditioner, the stylist will apply a solution of thioglycolate that’s activated by the heat of a dryer. A flat-iron then makes hair as straight as possible before a chemical neutralizer tells the thioglycolate to stop processing and keeps the hair in its new shape.
The process often takes three to four hours, and clients shouldn’t style or wash their hair for about three days afterward to avoid disrupting the treatment or losing that nice salon smell sooner than necessary. The chemical reaction is permanent, and changes the actual structure of the hair—that’s why Japanese-straightened hair won’t curl again the way keratin-smoothed or flat-ironed hair eventually does, at least until it grows out. At that point, if you want to maintain the sleek look, you can go back to the salon to touch up the roots.
Yuko Hair Straightening
YUKO Hair Straightening is the internationally patented system recognized worldwide as "Japanese Hair Straightening" or "Thermal Reconditioning".
YUKO, together with Phiten, developed the specialized process that has proven itself as the envy of the hair industry. Each step of the procedure is tailored to recondition, protect and maintain the health of the hair. Wavy, curly, kinky, no matter how unmanageable the hair is, YUKO will leave the hair luxuriously straight with a lustrous shine.
Keratin Treatment
What is keratin? Keratin is a fibrous protein found naturally in the hair. It acts as a protective shield against humidity, the primary cause of frizz. Over time, the hair loses keratin from exposure to the sun, the environment, styling and chemical services. Porous spots develop in this damaged hair, much like potholes in a road. Keratin Smoothing Therapy treatments give the hair shine, strength, smoothness and elasticity.
By replenishing lost keratin, Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy treatments help repair damage, lock out humidity to reduce unwanted frizz, and give the hair increased manageability and styling versatility. Our signature Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy helps to rebuild strength and restore smoothness and elasticity to the hair, giving it a more youthful, healthy appearance.
